Judicial Branch

The Judicial Branch of the Student Government Association at the Â鶹ÉäÇø is comprised of four (4) Associate Justices and one (1) Chief Justice. All judicial powers of the Student Government Association shall be vested in this Student Court, which shall be a court of original and appellate jurisdiction.

The Student Court’s primary responsibility lies in interpreting the Constitution and the Code of Laws — the fundamental documents of the Student Government Association — and ensuring all SGA members comply with them. Additionally, they work in close contact with the Elections and Recruitment Committee during homecoming elections and SGA elections, acting as an appellate court to review and decide on various cases.

The Judicial Complaint Form serves as the official means for submitting concerns regarding alleged violations of the Student Government Association’s governing documents. Any student who believes that an infraction or violation of these documents has occurred may file a complaint by completing and submitting this form. The information provided through this form will be reviewed and processed by the Judicial Branch through established procedures, ensuring a fair and impartial course of action.

If you would like to leave general feedback, questions, or concerns for the Student Government Association, please email sgafeedback@una.edu.
