Students at the Â鶹ÉäÇø will have an opportunity to interact with representatives from Germany and German companies as part of Germany on Campus, which will be Oct. 14 from 9 a.m. until noon in the banquet halls of the Guillot University Center. The event is made possible by the German Embassy in Washington, D.C.
The College of Education and Human Sciences at the Â鶹ÉäÇø has recently been awarded a $20,000 grant by the Alabama State Department of Education Alabama Reading Initiative Program Improvement Grant. The award is offered to support initiatives that improve quality, relevance, and effectiveness, ultimately preparing students for literacy success.
The Â鶹ÉäÇø’s Anderson College of Nursing and Health Professions has been recognized as an Apple Distinguished School for the 2025-2028 program term.
Meteorologist, author, and podcaster James Spann will be the main event at the Â鶹ÉäÇø College of Arts, Sciences, and Engineering Sunseri Speaker Series on Saturday at 1 p.m. in Norton Auditorium.

The funding will enhance recycling efforts in both athletic and community settings by providing new recycling receptacles at UNA’s 10,000-seat Bank Independent Stadium and surrounding athletic fields, as well as supporting the purchase of a new enclosed event recycling trailer and pickup truck for the City of Florence.
